Information from the Fayetteville Police Department (11/10/09): At 6:53am today, Fayetteville Police were dispatched to 1116-A Sleepy Hollow Drive in reference to a report of a missing 5 year old child, Shaniya Davis. Upon arrival, the mother informed officers that Shaniya was last seen in the residence at 5:30 am this morning.
An immediate search of the area is currently on-going with the assistance of Police K-9’s, Fayetteville Fire Department and Cumberland County Sheriffs Office. Police detectives are currently on the scene conducting an investigation. Shaniya was last seen wearing a blue sleep shirt with pink underwear. An Amber Alert has been initiated; detectives request that anyone with information on the whereabouts of this missing child are urged to call the Fayetteville Police Department at 433-1856.
An Amber Alert has been initiated for this incident. The Fayetteville Police Department is currently still searching for Shaniya Davis with the assistance of the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office, Fayetteville Fire Department, and North Carolina Highway Patrol. Additional air resources from the Highway Patrol and UNC-Chapel Hill Hospital are also being utilized. Fayetteville Police Detectives are on scene investigating the disappearance.
